Before heading to my parents' house in Germany, Simon and I decided to spend a few days in Berlin to check out the Christmas markets there and do a bit of last-minute Christmas shopping.
While Berlin has, of course, loads of Christmas markets to choose from, we visited the Nordic-themed Lucia Market and it was hands-down the best market we've been to during this entire Vlogmas!

The Lucia Market combined the best of both worlds: Melodic Christmas music from Scandinavia and a very relaxed and laid-back atmosphere with German food! The market takes place in the inner courtyard of an old brewery, which makes it all the more cosy and hygge.
You can totally go on a mini-journey through the entire Nordics there - from Norwegian fish burgers to Swedish moose sausages, Finnish mulled wine and Latvian handicraft, the market had something for everyone. And sure, an abundance of German bratwurst could be had as well!
One of the highlights of the market were the coat-heaters - a construction of heaters and coats for people to snuggle up in and drink mulled wine. With Berlin's winter temperatures of around 0 degrees, the heaters were absolutely needed...
What you need to know about visiting the Lucia Market in Berlin
- It takes place at Kulturbrauerei, an old brewery that's now used for culture and leisure
- Entrance is free - hooray! After all, not all Christmas markets in Berlin are free to visit...
- You better bring cash, just in case, though some stalls also had credit card readers
- To get there, take the metro U2 or one of the trams (12, M1, M10) to Eberswalder Strasse
- The market is open for 4 weeks from late November until Christmas Eve / 7 days a week / from the early afternoon to 10pm
You can find more info about the market, as well as dates for 2018 (when they are announced) on the homepage of Lucia Weihnachtsmarkt.

You can participate through the Rafflecopter below. Each task will give you points, so the more points you gather, the higher your chances of winning are - BUT you're free to choose whatever entry you like to do, of course!
Entries are open for a week, so make sure to check back here to see if you've won! Terms and conditions apply.
